Justin Mohn Head Shot News
The man accused of showing his father’s severed head during a politically charged online rant this week first shot his father to death using a handgun he’d bought only a day earlier, the Bucks County, Pennsylvania, district attorney said Friday during a news conference.
Justin Mohn, 32, was arrested hours later Tuesday after breaking into a state National Guard facility about 100 miles away, armed with a 9 mm Sig Sauer handgun that was missing one round, prosecutor Jennifer Schorn said.
Justin Mohn Accused of Killing His Father
On Tuesday evening, around 7 p.m., Michael Mohn’s wife, Denice, made a horrifying discovery in their Levittown home – her husband was beheaded in the first-floor bathroom. The crime scene prompted her to call the police, who arrived to find Michael’s lifeless body.
Justin Mohn, the son, had fled the scene, later tracked down and apprehended by Middletown Township police near a National Guard training facility in Harrisburg, PA.
YouTube Horror
The macabre tale takes an even more disturbing turn with Justin Mohn’s YouTube video, which has since been taken down by the platform. In the 14-minute clip, Mohn is seen brandishing what appears to be his father’s severed head in a plastic bag and cooking pot. YouTube executives swiftly removed the video, citing a violation of their rules against violent or graphic content.
Motive Revealed Online
While investigators have not disclosed a motive for the heinous act, Justin Mohn’s online rants provide some insight. Mohn expressed anger towards his father, a 20-year federal employee, accusing him of being a “traitor.” The online tirade extended to criticisms of President Joe Biden’s administration, the Black Lives Matter movement, the LGBTQ community, and Antifa activists.
